Not to missed House night this weekend in Waterford .Next up for RePublik is the return of the live act TRACEY K & FISH GO DEEP on Saturday July 2nd. Greg Dowling & Shane Johnson (Fish Go Deep) are legends of the house scene in Ireland while Tracey K is an singer, songwriter from Kerry best known for providing the vocals, as well as the lyrics for the UK Dance Chart topper "The Cure and The Cause". Other well known songs written and performed by Tracey include "Nights Like These" ...and the live favourite "Battery Man" (which is a RePublik anthem).
Their first release was "Nights Like These", which came out on the UK's Inspirit Music Label in 2003. This was to mark the beginning of a musical relationship loved by House music fans and music lovers alike. In 2004 "Lil' Hand" was released on Canadian label, Ultrasound Recordings, the album from which the house anthem, "The Cure and The Cause" was born. The single was remixed by Dennis Ferrer in 2005 and it's slow rise to fame did not pinnacle until it was re-released later in 2006 on UK giant Defected, where it reached No. 23 in the UK main Top 75 and No. 1 in the dance chart. The song was given a US release on legendary label Strictly Rhythm in 2007. After the massive success of "The Cure & the Cause" in 2006, Tracey moved to Berlin where she has been recording new music with some of the best names in house music & has had releases on Milk n 2 Sugars.
The last time Tracey K & Fish Go Deep performed together in Waterford for RePublik was to a sell out venue so be sure to get down to this early as its on one of the busiest weekends of the year, The Tall Ships Festival. Support on the night comes from Warren Sauvage & special guest DJ Andy O Donoghue. Doors open at 10pm. More info check www.republikmusic.net
